A Statement of Intent

I work in an independent children's book shop in the south of England, and I read children's books constantly. Unfortunately, however, I have an atrocious memory for names and titles, so this blog will be an aide-mémoire for me, and if anyone else wants to read it, that will be a bonus.

I'll try and include notes on suitability issues, like swearing, sex or violence, although I'm at the liberal end of the shockability scale, so some things may fly past in a good narrative. I am utterly biased, terribly difficult to please, I have a degree in English Literature and a trashy streak a mile wide. I'll put up reviews as and when I finish the books.
